A modern 253,83 m² residence, outside the settlement of Korakies, in the area of Sochora, Akrotiri. The study concerns the construction of a two-storey house with a basement and a swimming pool. Since the urban development of the residence is not permissible in an environment typical of the Cretan countryside, an architectural solution has been employed, featuring spaces with large openings that unify the interior with the exterior with materials and colors that are in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The building has a linear design so that all spaces have a view of the bay of Souda and is located at a site where there is no strong natural slope in the ground, in order to have the least possible impact on its surroundings. The ground floor has been creatively divided to provide 2 functional sections where the public spaces are in the eastern part and the private ones in the western part. The western part has two levels, while the eastern part is on the ground floor and its roof is a planted terrace on the ground floor.
