The project involves the transformation of one of the most iconic buildings in the Old Town of Chania into the traditional Aisha Hotel. The hotel is located on Lithinon Street, on Kastelli Hill, and features a total of seven suites. A distinctive architectural element of the façade is the three stone columns with circular cross-sections, dating back to the period of Egyptian rule, which are visible from Soumerli Street. The new hotel facility integrates both the traditional architecture of the building and the modern needs of guests. Particular attention has been given to functionality, with special arrangements to accommodate people with disabilities (PWD) and the creation of spaces that meet the needs of visitors without compromising the building’s historical value.
